Austin Concrete Solutions is committed to going green both in the field and at the office. We have worked with the City of Austin’s Waste Reduction Assistance Program (WRAP) and have instituted recycling of office paper, cardboard, aluminum cans and plastic bottles. We also have eliminated the use of paper cups, plates and plastic utensils. In addition, we are committed to using recycled products, everything from file folders to paper towels. Our goal is to be recognized as a City of Austin "WasteSmart" business.
Our Green Initiative also includes building in an environmentally sustainable way, such as the use of pervious concrete. We have recently joined the U.S. Green Building Council and two of our top construction personnel are working on getting their green building credentials.
About USGBC
The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a non-profit organization committed to expanding sustainable building practices. USGBC is composed of more than 15,000 organizations from across the building industry that are working to advance structures that are environmentally responsible, profitable, and healthy places to live and work. Members includes building owners and end-users, real estate developers, facility managers, architects, designers, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, product and building system manufacturers, government agencies, and nonprofits.
